Small Hat Table Lamp
A mid-century modern desk lamp with a fixed sculptural silhouette — stone cylindrical base, brass-finished steel arm angling forward, and a matte white aluminum cone shade tilted downward over the desk. The set posture is intentional: a focused warm pool of light directly below the shade, with subtle pinpoint patterns above through the ventilation cutouts. 21.7″ arm reach × 20.5″ max height. Plug-in with inline switch — no wiring needed.

Design piece — fixed posture, not adjustable
The arm and shade are fixed in their designed position. This is a sculptural design lamp, not an adjustable task lamp. If you need to redirect the light, rotate the entire lamp on its base. For a fully articulating desk lamp with rotating joints, see our other desk lamp models.
Fixed sculptural silhouette
The arm angles forward and the shade tilts down toward the desk — the designed posture is the product.
Weighted stone base
Heavy stone cylinder anchors the lamp on the desk — no tipping, no sliding.
Cone shade with cutouts
Matte white aluminum cone with small ventilation cutouts — focuses light below, casts subtle pinpoint patterns above.
Standard finish combination only — colors are not interchangeable for this model.
Where it works
A 1950s Italian aesthetic — works in mid-century modern interiors, minimalist offices, reading corners, or any space wanting a sculptural lamp with a focused downward pool of light. Pairs naturally with walnut furniture, marble or stone surfaces, and warm-white-painted walls. Most effective when the desk surface below catches the light pool — a leather desk pad, wood top, or stone surface picks up the warm glow.

- Place on a stable flat surface. Rotate the entire lamp on its base to point the light pool in the desired direction.
- Install a G9 bi-pin LED bulb — push straight in, do not twist. 2700K warm-white LED, 3W recommended (matches the rated power; higher wattage overheats the aluminum shade and may discolor the matte white lacquer).
- Care: dust stone base with a soft dry cloth. Wipe the matte shade with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, then dry. Indoor dry locations only.
Can the arm or shade be adjusted?
No — the arm and shade are fixed in their designed position. The visual composition (arm angled forward, shade tilted down) is intentional and part of the design. To redirect the light, rotate the entire lamp on its base. If you need a lamp with adjustable joints for task work (drawing, computer work, reading specific documents), check our Pivot LED Desk Lamp — that model has dual articulating arms.
What bulb does it use, and why is wattage limited to 3W?
G9 bi-pin base — install a 3W LED bulb (about 30W incandescent equivalent in brightness). The aluminum cone shade is rated for 3W heat dissipation; higher-wattage bulbs (especially halogen G9s) overheat the shade, discolor the matte lacquer, and may warp the aluminum over time. 2700K warm-white LED is recommended to preserve the warm desk-light character.
What's the light coverage area?
The shade points straight down, casting a focused warm circle approximately 12–16″ wide on the desk surface directly below it. This is ambient mood lighting — bright enough to read a book under, not bright enough to light an entire desktop for sustained computer work. For full task lighting, pair with overhead room lighting or a second desk lamp positioned over your keyboard.
Is it dimmable?
The fixture itself is on/off only via the inline cord switch. To dim, install a dimmable G9 LED bulb and pair the lamp with a smart plug (Lutron Caséta or TP-Link Kasa) — the bulb dims through the app or schedule. No rewiring needed.
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on the fixture, finishes, and wiring. G9 LED bulbs are standard replaceable parts. If anything arrives damaged or the matte lacquer begins to discolor within warranty (when used with a 3W LED bulb as specified), email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos for a replacement.
