- Hardwired install — requires a standard ceiling junction box. A licensed electrician is recommended for first-time installers.
- For dining rooms, hang the bottom of the chandelier 30–36″ above the table top. For foyers, maintain at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
- In two-story foyers, center the 12-light at the height of the second-floor landing for the strongest visual balance.
- Standard suspension is 20 + 30 cm (7.9″ + 11.8″). For drops longer than 24″, request custom rod length before placing the order.
- Sloped ceilings require a sloped-ceiling adapter (sold separately — contact us with your slope angle).
- Assembly: arms attach individually to the central hub. Allow 30–60 min for the 12-light model — see the Assembly Video link below.
Is the Solaire bright enough for full dining-room or foyer lighting?
For a standard 12 × 15 ft dining room, the 9-light with 4W G9 LED bulbs (~36W total) gives soft ambient light. For two-story foyers or great rooms, the 12-light at 5W per bulb (~60W total) is the right pick. Pair with a dimmer for evening dining; use recessed cans for direct task light.
What size brass arm chandelier should I choose for my dining room?
A common rule: chandelier diameter (in inches) ≈ length + width of the room (in feet). For a 12 × 14 ft dining room, that's ~26″ — the 6-light (33.4″) works well centered over a 6 ft table. For 14 × 16 ft+ rooms or 8 ft+ tables, step up to the 9- or 12-light.
Can I install the chandelier on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, with a sloped-ceiling adapter (sold separately). Email support@vakkerlight.com with your slope angle and we'll ship the correct adapter alongside your fixture.
Can I get longer suspension rods or a different finish?

What's the warranty if a glass globe arrives damaged?
Two-year manufacturer warranty on electrical and structural components. Glass globes are individually packed; if any globe arrives cracked or chipped, send photos to support@vakkerlight.com within 30 days for free replacement globes.
