- Free-standing — plug into a wall outlet. Place on a flat, stable surface (table, console, sideboard).
- The glass dome lifts off the base for bulb installation and replacement. Lift slowly — the glass is heavy for its size.
- The mirrored base shows fingerprints. Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth after handling to maintain the polish.
Which base + glass combination should I choose?
Pink base + Pink glass (shown): soft monochrome, romantic, pastel rooms. Gold base + Clear glass: most luminous, mid-century warm. Pink base + Clear glass: subtle pop of color, neutral palettes. Gold base + Pink glass: rich warm tones, glam interiors. The clear glass shows the bulb most prominently; the pink glass softens it.
Is the glass real hand-blown glass?
Yes — each glass dome is hand-blown by glassblowers. Subtle variation in shape, wall thickness, and color saturation are normal. Hand-blown glass has small bubble inclusions and slightly uneven curves — these are signatures of the technique, not defects. The dome weighs noticeably more than mass-produced pressed glass.
What bulb should I use? How bright?
E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU). A 6–8W LED in 2700K warm white gives the best soap-bubble glow — roughly 600–800 lumens. Use a clear bulb (not frosted) to let the filament read through the glass dome. For dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb (the inline switch itself isn't a dimmer).
How do I clean the lamp?
Glass: lift off the base and wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. For grime, use glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth (not directly on the glass). Base: wipe with a dry microfiber cloth — the polished finish shows fingerprints, so handle by the bottom edge when picking up. Avoid abrasive sponges or paper towels.
Where should I place this lamp?
Side tables, console tables, sideboards, bedside, or office desks. Best at sitting/reading eye level (~24–32″ from floor when on a side table). Reads beautifully as a single accent or in a pair flanking a console. Not designed for high-traffic spots where it might get bumped — glass is delicate.
