Skydro Ceiling Lamp
A Skydro ceiling lamp — a cluster of polished chrome pebble-shaped reflectors forming a futuristic flush-mount fixture. The integrated LED bounces light off the biomorphic mirror surfaces for indirect, ambient illumination. Two sizes (5-head 42.5″, 6-head 56.2″). Three color temperatures, dimmable with a Triac dimmer. Hardwired ceiling install with modular multi-unit option. Suited to modern dining rooms, foyers, and contemporary statement ceilings.
Chrome pebble cluster · reflected indirect light
Chrome pebble cluster
Multiple polished mirror-finish pebbles in an organic biomorphic arrangement. Reflective on all sides.
Indirect reflected light
Integrated LED bounces off the chrome surfaces — washes the ceiling and surrounding wall area with soft glow.
Modular install
Standalone for a single feature, or link multiple units together for larger ceiling compositions.
Dimming
For dimmable installation, choose the dimmable version at order and pair with a Triac (Thyristor) wall dimmer. Standard on/off wall switches still work but won't dim the light.
Multi-unit installations
To connect multiple Skydro units side-by-side, order one Electrical Connection Kit per additional unit beyond the first (kits = units − 1). Each unit also requires its own ceiling junction box. Single-unit installs don't need any connection kit.

- Hardwired ceiling mount — junction box required, weight-rated for the chrome pebble cluster. Licensed electrician recommended.
- For dimming, choose the dimmable version at order and install a Triac (Thyristor) wall dimmer. Standard switches give on/off only.
- Multi-unit ceiling compositions: order one Electrical Connection Kit per additional unit beyond the first (e.g. 3 units = 2 kits). Each unit also needs its own junction box; plan ceiling layout before ordering.
Which size should I choose?
5-Head (∅ 42.5″): suits 12×12 ft to 14×14 ft rooms — medium dining, foyers, contemporary living rooms. 6-Head (∅ 56.2″): suits 16×16 ft+ rooms — large dining, great rooms, two-story foyers. Both have ~20W output; the larger model just spreads the light over more area, so brightness per square foot is similar. For a focal piece in a smaller room, undersize and let the cluster dominate the ceiling.
Why do I need a Triac dimmer instead of a standard dimmer?
Integrated LED fixtures use specific driver electronics. Standard incandescent dimmers (rheostat-based) don't work with LED drivers — they cause flicker, buzzing, or no dimming at all. Triac (Thyristor) dimmers are specifically designed for LED drivers and give smooth, full-range dimming. They're widely available on Amazon and at hardware stores; pair with the dimmable version of this fixture (choose at order).
Can I install multiple units side by side?
Yes — and it's one of the strongest uses of this fixture. Order multiple units plus one Electrical Connection Kit per additional unit (so 3 fixtures = 2 kits). Each fixture needs its own ceiling junction box; the kits handle the wiring between fixtures. Best for long dining rooms, hospitality lobbies, and modern open-plan spaces where a single fixture isn't enough.
Are the pebbles real chrome or coated plastic?
The pebbles are molded thermoplastic with a bright chrome plating finish — the visual effect is identical to solid metal but at a fraction of the weight (important for ceiling mounting). The plating is durable and won't peel under normal indoor conditions. Avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool; wipe with a damp microfiber cloth for cleaning.
How much weight does it put on the ceiling?
The 5-Head is lighter than its size suggests because the pebbles are thermoplastic, not solid metal. The 6-Head is heavier. Both mount via standard ceiling junction box with the included hardware. For drywall-only ceilings on the 6-Head size, use a fan-rated junction box or through-joist mount to provide structural support. Verify ceiling rating before ordering the 6-Head.
