Orb Pendant Light
A vertical pendant — a single brass rod, 47″ long, with four hand-blown glass orbs offset on alternating sides at staggered heights. Each orb houses an E26/E27 socket; a small brass cylinder caps the bottom of the rod. Available with brass or black rod, and five glass colors (white, clear, smoke grey, amber, or blue). Designed for spaces with 11+ ft ceilings — over a stairwell, in a foyer, or as a vertical accent against a tall wall.

⚠ Tall fixture — verify ceiling height before ordering
The fixture is 47″ tall (4 ft drop). Recommended ceiling height: 11 ft or taller to leave proper clearance below the bottom orb. In 9–10 ft rooms, the lowest orb sits at head height or below — only suitable when the pendant hangs over a stairwell, balcony void, or non-traffic zone. Color pairing guidance
Brass rod + clear/amber glass reads warmest — works in walnut/leather/marble interiors. Brass + smoke grey is the most refined, masks the bulb best. Black + smoke grey is the most graphic, anchors modern minimal rooms. Black + blue or amber creates a stronger color statement. White opal diffuses light most evenly, recommended where soft ambient glow matters more than visual transparency of the orb itself.

- Hardwired ceiling install — licensed electrician recommended. Standard junction box behind the canopy. Total fixture weight is modest but the 4 ft length requires careful handling during install — two-person preferred.
- The brass rod ships in one piece. Glass orbs ship packed separately in foam — insert each onto its socket on-site (push gently, do not force; if it resists, do not twist as the glass neck is delicate).
- 4 × E26/E27 LED bulbs sold separately. Recommended: 2700K warm-white LED, ≤7W each (40W incandescent equivalent). Higher wattages over-light the room for what is essentially an ambient/accent fixture. Total fixture load: 4 bulbs in parallel on one circuit.
- Indoor dry locations only. Not for bathrooms, kitchens above stovetops, or covered outdoor areas — moisture damages the brass finish and glass mounting.
What ceiling height do I need?
The fixture is 47″ (~4 ft) tall. Standard recommendation: 11+ ft ceilings so the bottom orb sits comfortably above head height. For 9–10 ft ceilings, only install where the pendant is not in a walking path — over a stairwell, in a tall foyer above the entry, or against a tall accent wall. What bulbs does it take, and how many?
Four E26 (NA/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) sockets — one in each glass orb. Use LED bulbs only, ≤7W each (40W incandescent equivalent). Round bulb shapes (G45, G80 globe LEDs) look most elegant inside the orbs; standard A19 bulbs also work but show their flat top through clear glass. Skip filament Edison-style bulbs unless you've selected clear glass and want the filament visible. 2700K warm-white recommended.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — compatible with standard TRIAC (forward-phase) wall dimmers like Lutron Caséta or Leviton, paired with dimmable LED bulbs. All four orbs dim together on one circuit. Dimming is recommended — at full brightness with four bulbs, this fixture lights an entire foyer; dimmed to 30–40%, it becomes pure ambient sculpture.
How fragile are the glass orbs?
The orbs are real hand-blown glass — durable in normal indoor use but fragile if struck. They ship individually packed in foam and are installed on-site. If any orb arrives broken, set it aside and email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos within 7 days for free replacement. Beyond the initial inspection window, replacement orbs are available as paid-service parts (kept in stock for 3 years).
What's the warranty?
2 years on the rod, finishes, wiring, and sockets. Broken-on-arrival glass is replaced free with the 7-day inspection window. After warranty, replacement glass orbs are stocked as paid service. E26/E27 bulbs are standard replaceable parts at any hardware store.
