A pair of vintage farmhouse candle wall sconces in walnut-and-black iron and solid wood. Choose the Abacus — an iron scroll frame with draping wood beads and a teardrop finial — or the Newel, a lathe-turned wood candlestick. Each comes 1-light or 2-light, with exposed E14 candle bulbs for a warm glow at a bedside, hallway, or beside a mirror. Hardwired, indoor.

Bulb fit — E14 base
Both designs use E14 (European small-screw) candle bulbs — slightly larger than the US E12 base. Source E14 LED candles (sold online) or fit cheap E12-to-E14 adapters; US E12 bulbs won't thread in directly.

- Hardwired to a standard wall junction box — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Mount about 60″–66″ from the floor for accent or bedside use; for a pair, flank a bed or mirror symmetrically.
- Source E14 LED candle bulbs or fit E12-to-E14 adapters; US E12 bulbs will not thread in directly.
- Use 2700–3000K warm-white E14 LED candles to suit the vintage look; these fixtures are wired for a standard switch.
- Iron and solid wood, hand-finished — slight variation in walnut tone and grain is part of the character.
What is the difference between the Abacus and the Newel?
The Abacus has an iron scroll frame with draping wood beads and a teardrop finial; the Newel is a lathe-turned wood candlestick column. Both are walnut-and-black, 1-light or 2-light.
How much light do they give?
Each gives a warm, ambient accent glow from one or two exposed E14 bulbs — mood and accent light, not bright task light. The 2-light versions are brighter; add overhead light for full-room coverage.
What bulbs do they use — will US bulbs fit?
Both use E14 (European small-screw) candle bulbs. Source E14 LED candles online or fit E12-to-E14 adapters; standard US E12 bulbs will not thread in directly. We recommend 2700–3000K warm white.
How are they installed?
Each hardwires to a standard wall junction box, so a licensed electrician is recommended. Mount about 60″–66″ from the floor, and space a pair evenly to flank a bed or mirror.
