This is a true plug-in wall sconce. Two small wall-anchor screws hold the brass disk; the cord runs to any standard outlet via a switch plug. Renters, apartment dwellers, dorm rooms, and anyone who cannot modify wiring — this works for you. To uninstall (when you move out), unscrew the two anchors and patch two small holes.

Will my landlord/HOA have a problem with this?
No — it's a plug-in fixture, the same legal status as a floor lamp or table lamp. The only attachment to the wall is two small screws (about the size of a picture-hanging anchor); patching two holes on move-out takes 5 minutes. There's no electrical modification to the unit, so no permits or landlord approval are required for installation.
What bulb works best?
E26 socket — any standard LED or Edison bulb up to 40W. For the visible-filament look that suits the open socket, use a vintage-style Edison LED (ST64, G80, or G125 globe shape, 2700K, 4–6W). For a softer ambient glow, use a frosted A19 or G45 LED. The test bulb included is a basic warm-white LED — works on arrival, swap to your preferred style anytime.
Is it dimmable?
The cord has an on/off push switch only. To dim: install a dimmable LED bulb plus a smart plug (Lutron Caséta or TP-Link Kasa) — the bulb dims through the app or schedule. No rewiring needed.
Where can I install it — height, location?
The bulb hangs about 6″ below the mount point, so mount the disk approximately 54″ above the floor for a standard bedside-reading height. For above-couch ambient lighting, mount 60″ above the seat. Distance to the wall outlet matters too — the 78.7″ cord gives ~6.5 ft of reach, including some slack. Indoor dry locations only (not bathrooms or kitchens above stovetops).
What's the warranty?
2-year warranty on the fixture, finish, socket, cord, and switch. The included test bulb is consumable and not under warranty (it's a standard replaceable part). For any issue email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos.
