About the capsule top — polished aluminum alloy, not ceramic
The capsule-shaped top is polished aluminum alloy finished in Gold, Black, or White — keeping weight low (ceiling mount-friendly) and price accessible. The opal-glass globe below is hand-blown. Aluminum gives the capsule a sharp, smooth mirror polish that holds its finish over time without the chipping risk of glazed ceramic.

The Capsule Globe Pendant Light is rated for indoor dry locations — bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens, foyers, living rooms, hotel reception, restaurants. Safe on a bathroom vanity wall away from direct shower spray, but do not install inside a shower enclosure, directly above a tub, on a covered porch, or any outdoor area.
Hanging height for dining and bedside
For dining tables and kitchen islands, hang the bottom of the globe 30-36 inches above the surface. For bedside (Size XS / S), hang 16-20 inches above the nightstand surface or 50-54 inches above the mattress. The 59-inch cable can be shortened during install or extended on request.
Opal glass and the warm-glow effect
The blown opal-glass globe diffuses light evenly without exposing the bulb, eliminating glare. For best effect, use a Warm White 2700K LED at 6-9W — the soft warm glow is the design's signature. Avoid frosted or filament-style bulbs (they show through the opal slightly).

For sustained finish quality, dust the capsule weekly with a soft microfiber cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners.
