Chlorophilia Suspension Light
A sculptural chlorophilia suspension light — three clear molded PMMA leaves arranged around a polished aluminum core. The wavy stepped surfaces act as optical lenses, refracting the integrated LED into rippled patterns across the ceiling. Single size: ∅ 30.7″ × H 59″. Polished white finish, 15W LED at 3000K warm white. Hardwired ceiling install. Can be hung singly or clustered for layered ceiling effects.
Three PMMA leaves · refracted ceiling pattern · polished core
Three sculpted PMMA leaves
Each leaf has a stepped wavy surface that acts as an optical lens — refracts light into rippled patterns.
Polished aluminum core
The central COB LED unit doubles as a heatsink. The polished surface reflects light upward and outward.
Cluster-capable
Hang singly for a statement, or cluster 2–3 fixtures at varied heights to layer the ceiling-pattern effect.
⚠ Heavy fixture — 61.7 lbs (28 kg)
This is a substantial fixture. Confirm your ceiling is rated for 65+ lbs and use a junction box with through-joist or strap mounting. Drywall-only anchors are not safe for this weight. Professional installation strongly recommended.
Import duties not included
Your payment to Vakkerlight covers product and shipping only. Customs duties, import taxes, and local fees are determined by your country's customs and are billed separately by the carrier on delivery. Estimate 5–25% of product value depending on destination.

- Hardwired ceiling — junction box rated for 65+ lbs required. Through-joist or strap mounting; do NOT use drywall-only anchors. Licensed electrician strongly recommended.
- Hang 7+ ft from the floor for safety clearance. For dining tables, 30–36″ above the table surface. The fixture reads best from below where the ceiling-reflection effect is visible.
- The PMMA leaves are attached on site. Unpack carefully; the leaves arrive in protective foam and clip onto the central core during installation.
Single fixture or cluster — what's the difference?
A single fixture (three leaves around one core) makes a strong sculptural statement and casts a defined ripple pattern on the ceiling directly above. Clustering 2–3 fixtures at staggered heights amplifies the effect — leaves from different fixtures overlap visually, and the ceiling pattern reads as a continuous organic field of light. Each fixture in the cluster wires separately; they don't link.
Are the leaves real glass?
No — they're transparent PMMA (acrylic), a high-clarity engineered plastic. Real glass would more than double the fixture weight beyond safe ceiling limits. PMMA reads visually similar to clear glass, refracts light cleanly through the stepped surface, and won't crack or shatter if knocked during install.
How bright is 15W? Is it enough for a dining room?
15W LED at 3000K produces roughly 1,200–1,500 lumens — bright enough as primary light for a small dining table (4-seat) or as ambient layer in a larger room. The PMMA leaves scatter the light upward and outward, so visible brightness on the table surface is moderate, not task-bright. For 6+ seat dining, layer with downlights or use 2–3 fixtures clustered.
Can the cable be extended?
Yes — the standard 59″ (150 cm) cable can be extended on request. Email support@vakkerlight.com with your ceiling height and desired bottom-of-fixture height before ordering. Custom cable lengths add 1–2 weeks to lead time.
What kind of ceiling can support 61.7 lbs?
A standard residential drywall ceiling with no joist underneath the mount point cannot safely support this weight. You need either: a junction box mounted through to a wood joist (most common), a steel ceiling support strap spanning two joists, or a structurally-rated ceiling brace box. Have an electrician confirm mounting type before purchase. If unsure about your ceiling, send a photo of the mount area to us first.
