Minor Mold Trace — Normal & Expected
The balloon shade is produced via polymer injection molding. A small circular mold gate trace is visible near the top of the shade on every unit — this is a standard manufacturing characteristic, not a defect. It is shown in our product close-up photos so you know exactly what to expect.
Once illuminated, the warm glow draws the eye and the trace becomes virtually imperceptible. It does not affect the light's structural integrity, safety, or its cheerful visual impact.

What bulbs are compatible with this ceiling light?
This ceiling light supports both standard LED bulbs and decorative Edison-style LED bulbs via an E26 (North America) or E27 base. We recommend LED bulbs to minimize heat output near the polymer shade. Bulbs not included.
Can I cluster multiple Balloon Dream ceiling lights together?
Absolutely — and it looks stunning. Mixing sizes (25 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm) and different colors across the ceiling creates a floating balloon bouquet effect. Each fixture requires its own hardwired ceiling connection.
Is this ceiling light safe for a baby nursery?
Yes. The fixture is IP20 rated for standard indoor use and operates at AC 110–240 V. Using an LED bulb ensures the shade stays cool. We recommend mounting it where the pull cord is not within reach of infants.
I see a small circular mark on the top of the shade — is this a defect?
Not a defect — this is a normal, expected characteristic of the injection-molding process. The small circular mark at the top of the shade is the mold gate point. Every unit has this mark; it is documented in our product photos.
When illuminated, the warm glow makes it virtually invisible. It has no effect on safety or structural integrity.
If a perfectly smooth, trace-free surface matters to you, our Glass Edition features a mouth-blown glass shade with no molding trace.
Is the ceiling light dimmable?
The fixture can support dimming when paired with a compatible wall dimmer switch and a dimmable LED bulb. The pull cord itself functions as an On/Off toggle only.
Does the color look vibrant when the light is off?
Yes — the pigment is embedded throughout the polymer material, so the shade reads as a bold sculptural color accent during the day and a soft glowing light at night.
What is the difference between the Polymer and Glass versions?
The Polymer Edition (this listing) is lightweight, impact-resistant, and features high-saturation opaque color. The Glass Edition is mouth-blown, has a completely smooth surface, and a more refined translucent glow suited for premium interiors.
