Bai Family Pendant Light
A blown-glass capsule pendant — colored glass envelope (clear, amber, or smoke grey) wrapping a vertical LED light bar at the center. Bronze-finished steel rings cap the top and bottom, with a small loop detail at the canopy. Five model shapes from 7″ compact pendants up to 15.7″ wide ovals. The smallest A1 size can be ordered in clusters of three to five for installations over kitchen islands, dining tables, or stairwells.

⚠ Blown glass — inspect on arrival
Each glass envelope is individually hand-blown and ships in foam-cushioned packaging. Inspect for cracks before installing — if any arrived damaged, set it aside and email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos within 7 days for a free replacement. Matching glass envelopes are kept in stock for 3 years after your order.
Hand-blown glass envelope
Each envelope is individually hand-blown. Slight tonal variation between pieces is intentional, not a defect.
Vertical LED light bar
Single E14 bulb mounted on a central vertical fixture — light projects outward through the colored glass for a warm tinted glow.
5 model shapes + cluster
Five distinct silhouettes from 7″ A1 to 15.7″ C. Order multiple A1 for cluster installs.
A1 — Compact Oval
Smallest size. Best as a single bedside pendant, or ordered in clusters of 3–5 for kitchen island groupings.
A2 — Small Oval
Single-pendant scale — works above a side table, in an entry foyer, or paired flanking a doorway.
B1 — Tall Slender
Elongated profile. Vertical drop reads as a lantern column — best in stairwells, tall foyers, or above a bar.
B2 — Extra Tall
Most dramatic vertical drop — for two-story foyers, atriums, or any space where a strong vertical anchor is needed.
C — Wide Oval
Widest of the five — substantial visual presence. Best as a focal point over a dining table or in a living room.
Color & model pairing
Amber reads warmest, masks the visible bulb best, and is the most flattering for evening rooms. Clear is the most transparent, shows the LED bar and bronze hardware most prominently. Smoke grey is the moodiest, partially obscures the bulb for a softer profile. For clusters of 3+ A1 pendants over an island, mixing two colors (amber + clear, or smoke + clear) gives visual depth.

- Hardwired ceiling install — licensed electrician recommended. Standard junction box behind the canopy. For cluster installs of 3+ A1 pendants, order with custom cable lengths so each hangs at a different height — email info@vakkerlighting.com with your ceiling height and intended drop for each pendant.
- E14 bulbs sold separately. Maximum 15W per fixture — using higher wattage will overheat the internal LED bar mount and shorten the fixture's life. 2700K warm-white LED preserves the amber/clear glass's natural tone; cooler temperatures wash the warm tinting out.
- Glass envelope is press-fit onto the bottom ring — to clean the inside, gently lift the envelope upward, wipe with a microfiber cloth, and reseat. Do not twist forcefully.
- Indoor dry locations only — not for bathrooms, kitchens above stovetops, or outdoor areas.
Which model should I order — A1, A2, B1, B2, or C?
A1 (compact oval) — single bedside, or 3–5 clustered over a kitchen island. A2 (small oval) — single accent over a side table, entry, or paired flanking a door. B1 (tall slender) — vertical drop for stairwells, bars, or tall foyers. B2 (extra tall) — dramatic vertical anchor for two-story foyers or atriums (needs 14+ ft ceilings). C (wide oval) — substantial focal point over a dining table or living room.
How do clusters of A1 pendants work?
Order 3, 4, or 5 A1 units and specify custom cable lengths at checkout — typical staggered drop pattern is 32″, 40″, 48″ (and 56″, 64″ if 5 units) so each pendant hangs at a different height. Each pendant gets its own canopy or a shared multi-port canopy can be ordered separately. Email info@vakkerlighting.com with your ceiling height for a recommendation.
Why is there a 15W bulb limit?
The LED bar mount inside the glass envelope is a fitted assembly — higher-wattage bulbs (above 15W incandescent equivalent) generate heat that the mount is not designed to dissipate. Using a 9W LED (60W incandescent equivalent in brightness) stays well within safe operating range and delivers the intended ambient glow. Halogen and incandescent bulbs above 15W will void the warranty.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with the right bulb. Install a dimmable E14 LED bulb plus a TRIAC (forward-phase) wall dimmer such as Lutron Caséta or Leviton — the bulb dims through the dimmer. The fixture itself has a built-in on/off push button (not a dimmer). The default bulb shipped with the lamp is non-dimmable; specify "dimmable bulb" at checkout, or swap to a dimmable E14 LED after delivery.
What if a glass envelope breaks?
Inspect on arrival — if cracked in transit, email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos within 7 days for a free replacement envelope. Beyond the initial inspection window, replacement glass envelopes are available as paid-service parts (kept in stock for 3 years after your order). The metal frame and electronics stay with the fixture; only the glass shell ships separately.
